Being a part of the Parlour community is an honour.
It’s a modern and beautiful way of experiencing art, outside of the thriving pub culture in Australia.
I am quite a visual person, and I often feel like the energy around mainstream rooms doesn’t speak to everybody- There was something unique about being able to dress unlikely spaces into beautiful music venues. Like a blank canvas.
The audience poured in with the singular intent of watching music, and they respected myself and T-Honey in a way I hadn’t really experienced before.
Aside from the perspective of the artist, I’ve been to a few shows, and they have been some of the best gigs I’ve seen in a long time.
Looking forward to seeing where this goes. I think it has the potential to do great things for this changing industry.
