It was a balmy afternoon in Bacchus Marsh, the short drive up to the countryside was relaxing as the windy Avenue of Honour greeted us with its lush tree lined road and market gardens.
The tone of the day was set upon arrival with folks swimming in the pool to cool down and a BBQ firing up.
Guests settled in for the afternoon under makeshift gazebos and the boozy punch to quench their thirst.
Will Hearn opened up with a cracker of a set. The journey took us through his struggles of growing up and his much loved dog. Giggles were provided along the way with his cheeky humour so cleverly laced into his lyrics.
Lanie Lane was warmly welcomed on stage as she opened with her new album’s sweet tunes and stories, her voice filling the acre long garden. The acoustic rendition of Bang Bang gathered audience participation and smiles all round.
The gig was just what everybody needed on a cruisy Sunday afternoon – perfect picnic food, boozy punch and stunning music from the heart.
