Nov. Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne
Emerging from the seemingly quiet suburbs of Adelaide, Nakatomi’s approach to electronic music is unique and explosive. The duo have quickly built a cult following for their high energy shows, huge sound and electrifying blend of 80’s, 90’s and electro futurepop.
Taking influences from modern dance, retro synths, SCI-FI movies, Madonna and Pizza, Nakatomi have received national airplay on Triple J and community stations all over Australia, as well as being nominated as 'Best New Artist’ (2016) & 'Most Popular Electronic Artist' (2017) at the SA Music Awards.
Nakatomi have spent the most part of this year songwriting and recording, and are now putting the finishing touches on their debut EP (due out in early 2018), which they have worked on with the likes of JP Fung (Birds of Tokyo, Jungle Giants, Pheobe Starr), Tony Buchen (Montaigne, Asta, East), Mario Spate (Tkay Maidza) and Luke Godson (Luke Million)
With the release of their single ‘Wooden Castle’ (officially out Oct 11th), Nakatomi will be taking their show on the road again, playing some local shows in their hometown of Adelaide in October and touring with Sad Grrrls Fest in November.Common Question
