Formed by brother and sister, Jack and Lucy Wilson (bass and vocals), the six-piece Melbourne band has been captivating audiences across Australia with Lucy’s powerful voice, which draws you in with gentle, lilting melodies before belting out a forceful torrent of raw emotion. Alongside the musical prowess of Will Bracks on keys, Lizzie Dynon on drums, Chris Bevens on sax and Alister Self on guitar, they've been breaking hearts with their unique rock 'n' soul sounds since 2014.

In the past year, The Sugarcanes have been going from strength to strength. They've toured their debut LP – The Sugarcanes – off the back of a sold-out album launch party, staged a packed-out live recording and launch for their single, Oh Darling, and completed a national tour with the Smith Street Band.

They're a regular favourite on the Victorian music festival circuit, helping to open Meredith Music Festival in 2016, working their magic in a headline slot at Boogie Festival in 2017, and captivating audiences at Beechworth Music Festival for the third year in a row.

Rain, hail or shine, they’ll get people to their feet - whether it’s a sweltering, 39 degree day in January or a frosty night in the country air. With a second album in the making, the band is gearing up for a big year so put on your dancing shoes, strap on your bells and open your hearts for The Sugarcanes.
